According to the industry standard related to DC charging piles "NB/T 33001-2010: Technical Conditions for Off-board Conductive Chargers for Electric Vehicles" issued by the National Energy Administration, the basic components of DC charging piles include: power unit, control unit, and metering unit , charging interface, power supply interface and human-computer interaction interface, etc. The power unit refers to the DC charging module, and the control unit refers to the charging pile controller. The DC charging pile itself is a system integration product. In addition to the two components "DC charging module" and "charging pile controller" which form the core of technology, the structural design is also one of the key points in the reliability design of the entire pile. "Charging pile controller" belongs to the category of embedded hardware and software technology, while "DC charging module" represents the highest achievement of power electronics technology in the AC/DC field.

The basic process of charging is: Load DC voltage on both ends of the battery, charge the battery with a constant large current, the battery voltage gradually and slowly rises to a certain level, the battery voltage reaches the nominal value, and the SoC reaches 95% (for different Battery, different) above, continue to charge the battery with constant voltage and small current. "The voltage has gone up, but the battery is not fully charged, that is, it is not replenished. If you have time, you can use a small current to replenish it." In order to realize this charging process, the charging pile functionally needs a "DC charging module" to provide DC power; a "charging pile controller" is needed to control the "power on, shutdown, output voltage, and output current" of the charging module; a "charging pile controller" is needed. "Touch screen" is used as a human-machine interface to issue instructions, and instructions such as "power on, power off, output voltage, output current" are issued to the charging module through the controller. The simplest charging pile understood from the electrical level only needs a charging module, a control panel and a touch screen; if commands such as power on, power off, output voltage, and output current are made into several keyboards on the charging module, then one charging module can The battery is charged.
